Berlusconi says will work with unions for reform (Reuters)

ROME (Reuters) – Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi pledged on Wednesday to work with unions and employers for a reform of labor laws and measures to boost growth as he urged a concerted national effort to confront the market turmoil that has hit Italy.

“We will work for an understanding between the government and organisations representing business and labor groups and business for an understanding on how to reach an efficient conjunction of intentions,” he said in a speech in parliament.
