Legal bid to evict St Paul’s camp

The camp was set up outside St Paul’s Cathedral on 15 October

Legal action will be taken to evict protesters camped outside St Paul’s Cathedral, The City of London Corporation has announced.

Supporters of the Occupy London Stock Exchange protest set up tents in the churchyard on 15 October and have vowed to remain there “as long as possible”.

A corporation official said it was left with no option as protesters had refused requests to leave.

The cathedral partly reopened earlier, a week after closing to the public.
