Truck bomb injures 77 foreign troops in Afghanistan (Reuters)
KABUL (Reuters) – A suicide bomber driving a truck of firewood attacked a NATO base in central Afghanistan on Saturday afternoon, killing two Afghan civilians, and injuring 77 foreign soldiers and “less than 25″ Afghan civilians, NATO-led forces said.
None of the injuries to Afghans or foreigners at a combat outpost in Wardak province were life-threatening, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force said, in a statement issued on Sunday afternoon that gave the toll from the blast.
“The majority of injured ISAF personnel will likely return to duties shortly,” ISAF said in a statement.
